Highlights from our day!

*Bible Time (Jesus Feeds Five Thousand): We reviewed the story with a poem. We counted 12 baskets!

*Pastor came today and shared with us the Bible story of Jesus Temptation.

*We did the Winter Hokey Pokey

*We looked at winter cards and read the word!

*We enjoyed a "Snowflakes and Cupcakes" Song! It went like this:

If all the snowflakes were chocolate covered cupcakes

Oh what a snow it would be!

I'd go outside with my mouth open wide

Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah

If all the snowflakes were

chocolate covered cupcakes.

Oh what a snow it would be!

Ask your child what they made their snowflakes.

Team work with the alphabet book!

*Today we enjoyed "1" item to put on our "pretend plate" at Bible time! We went around and had a turn remembering what each friend put on their plate! Ask your child what the little boy had for a lunch from the Bible story, "Jesus Feeds Five Thousand."

*Our "Snowy Surprise" poem went right along with waking up to snow this morning!

SNOWY SURPRISE POEM

Sometime the snow

Falls when I'm sleeping.

I'm so surprised when I awake.

I look at the world around me.

It looks like a frosted

Birthday cake!

*"In the winter, I can ______________." When we picked our winter vocabulary card today we had to say this sentence and fill in the blank with the picture that we picked!

*Today during Bible time, we talked about how our bodies need food and water. We also discussed where we get food, how it gets to the store, and where did food come from in the first place. Farmers planted seeds and cared for them. But the farmers did not make the seeds or cause them to grow. God did! We reread "Jesus Feeds Five Thousand." We had a basket with two fish and 5 pieces of bread and had to guess what Ms Debi took away from the basket when it was our turn!

*We did some fun Winter fingerplays called "Snowflake, Snowflake," "A Happy, Jolly Fellow," and "Mitten Song!"

*We practiced the letter "Ss" sound!

*We looked at winter pictures and talked about the winter activity!
